2019 Petit Verdot
Tanner Vineyard - Calaveras County, Sierra Foothills
Harvested September 2019, bottled November 22, 2021
This wine really impresses as it is refined, elegant and extra smooth. Striking in color, flavor and aromas, this bottling won’t disappoint! Petit Verdot translates to “little green one” and is a fascinating late-ripening grape that thrives in warm climates. Petite Verdot grapes yield wines that are full-bodied , brimming with intensely deep color, firm tannins and emanates ethereal aromas of violet, lilac, plum and sage. Petit Verdot is a big and bold wine normally used in blends; however, we firmly believe this phenomenal varietal deserves to shine all on its own. We crafted only one barrel of this inky, gorgeous wine — we truly hope you enjoy it!
Food Pairing: Roast Lamb, maple-glazed ham, bacon-wrapped shrimp.
