Brochelle Estate Vineyard, Adelaida District
Outstanding example of the traditional Rhone blend, this seductive wine entwines Mourvèdre and Grenache aged in French oak, with Syrah - aged in Hungarian oak providing a sultry, full body. Red currant, grilled plum, and black cherry dominate, followed on the mid-palate by caramel corn and brown sugar, hints of coffee and licorice, and an earthy minerality. Spicy/sweet on the finish.
